Good food, good atmosphere and nice place to chat with friends.

A quaint little place. The cashier who tended to my breakfast order answered all my questions and even brought to my attention a free size upgrade to my coffee. Why haven't I been in this place before?

Super sandwiches great cakes and delicious cuppucino. The people working there are very sweet. Could use more variety of German bread spread sausage, Monday is never good to try to buy them, they are out of a lot especially their Teas a usage all in all I always enjoy the things they have.

This cafe is awesome. Plenty of seating inside as it is huge. Coffee is great and reasonable priced. Has quite an array of food as well. Nice sized parking lot area around back.

Lived in Germany for 4 years. Pure Grain takes me right back to German bakeries in Deutschland. They have hearty breakfast and lunch sandwiches too.

The best sandwich in town made with fresh bread.

Had an excellent lunch here! The cafe was busy on a friday during lunch but not crowded, and the workers seemed to know several customers by name which was nice to see. Most of the customers in front of me purchased whole loaves of bread with their order and I was temtped to do the same. I ended up getting a vanilla caramel latte that was excellent, and I also tried a chocolate covered cake with raspberry filling. The cake was very delicious and the filling was pleasant and added a nice light flavor. The star for me however was the tuna melt, it was a generously sized sandwich made with fresh baked bread and I was surprised by several rather large chunks of apple in the tuna that I was not expecting but it actually added a nice touch. Overall very satisfied and I definitely plan on coming back. It's located right next to the library which is convenient since there were lots of free parking spots available.

I'm always very pleased with my purchases here, and I'm pretty picky.The employees are always very friendly as well. A business I am happy to continue paying!Edit: I find myself here every day now for what that's worth.

This German bakery is one of my favorite places in Vacaville. The sandwiches are made on fresh bread. I get a ham and cheese on croissant; it is delicious. My husband orders the Reuben on marble rye. If you go for breakfast there are fabulous almond twist pastries and raspberry jam shortbread you must try! On the weekends the bakery offers slices of quiche which taste amazing. I like to grab a hot cocoa or breakfast and head over to the Farmer's Market. Pure Grain is Downtown near all the festivals and events.

Friendly staff, awesome laid back environment

Don't have the time to drive to Apple Hill CA. In October, a fresh piece ofapple pie from the bakery brought a smile to my face.

I love Pure Grain! I think it is the owner, she has short, curly hair... I try to have her make my coffee because she is an artist! It always turns out so good. They have the best pastries in town; bagels, croissants, pretzels. You can also get a big, yummy sandwich there. For sweets they have cookies, cakes, and gelato. They do smoothies, too.The environment is great... Lots of natural light. Perfect for reading the newspaper, bringing a laptop, or meeting with friends.

This is one of my favorite places. Everything is great here! Fantastic staff and delicious food and beverages.

Nice local place to get delicious pastries and yummy breakfast sandwiches! Love coming here for breakfast. Food is always good, and service is great. The coffee is good too! Employees are friendly! Will be coming back often!

If you are ever strolling through Vacaville California this German Bakery is one of the best places to eat for lunch! Some of the best coffee and sandwiches ever! Also the best desserts too! Whenever I get a chance I head here to grab a marbled rye california club! Their Black Forest Cherry cake is my favorite thing ever too!

This place is delightful. I would go here most mornings if i had time. The bagels are great as are the wide assortment of german pasteries. Great customer service. Really good coffee bar as well.

EVERYTIME I have called to place an order the OWNERS have been beyond rude. They are short, cut me off, and sound completely annoyed that I am placing an order. I work in downtown and have being a customer for YEARS. I tip whenever I order coffee or a sandwhich. I have no idea why they are so rude. I will no longer be giving them my business or recommending them when customers ask for places to eat downtown.

The fancy Reuben was very tasty, a great example of the sandwich. The soda had way too much ice. I didn't find out if they offered refills because the line was long but the sandwich made up for it.

Love this place! The bakery is phenomenal. Highly recommend it. They also serve sandwiches, but I myself can't speak for them. The bread is delicious though, and their sweets are to die for.

Besides the good food (fresh bakery breads) options, it has a good downtown location, outdoor seating, near library and CreekWalk Plaza/Andrews Park. Hometown feeling.

OMG! Best food and service ever! Amazely great Coconut Halibut dish along with my second entree with Shrimp asparagus with pasta peas and veggies. It was to die for! Very tasty, the Shrimps were succulent just right and the service was surperb. I definitely will be back soon and made that my favorite restaurant for 2020! Please keep up the emaculent customer service and great tasting food. Love it!*****

My wife loves the bagels here. I wasn't as thrilled with the breakfast burrito. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't tasty either. I'd order something else.

I've only been here for breakfast, but the food was good, the coffee was good, and the service was excellent. Im looking forward to trying this place for lunch too.

They have good coffee, fun food ideas, nice atmosphere. The wait is always too long. We need more coffee places like this in vacaville to share the crowd and wealth. I like it here. Do recommend.

Food and coffee was good, but it took four attempts to get the order right and we never did receive one of the items we ordered.

I ordered a cappuccino, it was a little weak. I also got the hazelnut twist. The pastry was dry, way too sweet and not much hazelnut flavor. Bummed.

Their Summer Caprese Sandwich on frsh focaccia was probably the best sandwich I have ever had.

If your driving to the bay area from the Big Tomato it's worth pulling into Vacaville to this bakery. The fresh german big fluffy pretzel is outta this world with it sliced open a butter on it. Just like Germany and tons of other bakery goodies too! Oh yeah! Eat them now as they don't keep well overnight.

What is not to love about this place? Their sandwiches are great, especially being able to create your own. They have so many options you could come here for lunch every day for a week and not get bored with what you have. Beyond lunch this is a great little bakery with pastries and baked goods. Pair them with a good latte for a casual morning or afternoon snack. The casual atmosphere and outdoor seating makes sense this place ideal to catch up with friends or co-workers or just pull out the laptop and do some work.
